Captain Taylor
If you’ve ever taken a tour aboard Gary the Garibaldi, then Captain Taylor is likely a familiar face. He proudly serves as both our fish driver and fish captain.
Captain Taylor has spent his entire life fishing the waters of Southern California. Growing up in Orange County, he devoted every summer and free weekend to fishing around Catalina Island. At just 16 years old, he landed his first job at a tackle shop in Newport Beach, where he rigged custom lures for charter boats and businesses around the world.
In 2016, Captain Taylor made Catalina Island his permanent home with his wife, Bre—whom Breann’s Revenge is named after—and their children. He began working as a deckhand before purchasing a commercial lobster business in 2018. In the spring of 2021, he returned to his true passion: charter fishing, and later that summer expanded his operation by purchasing his 44’ Pacifica.
When Captain Taylor isn’t chartering boats or driving Gary the Garibaldi, he’s a devoted husband and father to his three kids. Outside of fishing, he has a passion for cooking and enjoys playing pool, golfing, and archery.
